Animal Mortality |
||||||||||||||||||||
|
Our base policy consists of Full Mortality and Theft coverages for your horse, naming you as beneficiary. This is an All-Risk policy which will cover death from any cause, subject to certain exclusions which are stated in the policy. The policy will also pay if the animal is stolen during the policy period. Reporting a problem during the policy period automatically triggers a 12-month coverage extension for death due to a reported problem. Reporting a problem after the policy has expired may result in no coverage at all.
No Mortality coverage available for dogs, dolphins, reptiles, bears, or other exotic animals. |

SurgicalThis endorsement is available on all animals. Surgical will reimburse you for reasonable and customary veterinary treatment charges which are incurred for surgical treatment (including anesthesia) as the result of accidents, injuries, or illnesses. In addition to surgery, the endorsement will pay up to 35% of the surgical fees for hospitalization, x-rays, medication and lab tests which are necessitated as the result of surgery. In the event your insured animal becomes totally and permanently incapable of performing the function named on the policy, but is not a humane destruction candidate, you may have a Loss of Use claim. Your veterinarian will advise the company of the animals total and permanent condition. If you have a Loss of Use claim, you may elect to collect 50% of the amount the animal is insured for and keep the animal; or 75% of the amount the animal is insured for and the insurance company may either take possession of the animal or the animal may be destroyed. |

Accident, Sickness, Disease InfertilityThis endorsement is available on stallions, used for breeding, who have at least one proven season behind them. If your stallion should become permanently impotent, infertile or incapable of servicing mares resulting from an accident, sickness or disease, this coverage will indemnify you. |
